I am proud to serve as the principal at Dogwood Elementary for the upcoming school year.  I am going into my 18th year in both education and in New Caney ISD.  I have served in the district as a dual language teacher, the Director of Bilingual/ELL/Migrant at central office, and as an assistant principal and principal at Tavola Elementary. This will be my 4th year serving as the principal here at Dogwood.
When I am not working, I am spending time with my four boys and my husband.  We enjoy being outside and of course, we are busy with sports!
I am excited to be a part of the positive, family-filled atmosphere that is already established at Dogwood Elementary. We will work together to continue to promote our school’s vision: Dogwood Elementary is committed to excellence in all we do.

Estoy orgullosa de servir como directora de la Escuela de Dogwood este próximo año. Voy a cumplir 18 años en educación y en New Caney ISD. He servido en el distrito como maestra de lenguaje dual, como Directora de Bilingüe/ELL/Migrante en la oficina central y como subdirectora y directora en la Escuela de Tavola. Este será mi 4o año como directora aquí en Dogwood.
Cuando no estoy trabajando, paso tiempo con mis cuatro hijos y mi esposo. ¡Disfrutamos estar afuera y, por supuesto, estamos ocupados con los deportes!
Estoy emocionada de ser parte de la atmósfera positiva y familiar que ya está establecida en la escuela de Dogwood. ¡Trabajaremos juntos para continuar promoviendo la misión de nuestra escuela: la Escuela Primaria Dogwood se dedica a aprender, empoderar a los líderes y tener éxito para todos!

I am so happy to be returning to Dogwood Elementary as an Assistant Principal!  This year will be my sixteenth year with New Caney ISD, and my thirty-first in education as a Clerical Aide, Teacher, School Counselor and an Assistant Principal. 
I am Mom to Trevor, a Constable’s Deputy, and Ethan, a Junior at Texas Tech University, and wife of Stephen Young, a teacher at Santa Fe Middle School in Cleveland, Tx.
I’m here to facilitate a positive, fun-filled, and successful experience for our Dogwood students, staff, families and community members.

¡Estoy muy feliz de regresar a Dogwood Elementary como subdirectora! Este año será mi decimosexto año con New Caney ISD y mi trigésimo primero en educación como ayudante administrativo, maestro, consejero escolar y subdirector.
Soy la mamá de Trevor, ayudante de policía, y de Ethan, estudiante de tercer año en la Universidad de Texas Tech, y esposa de Stephen Young, maestro en la escuela secundaria Santa Fe en Cleveland, Tx.

Hello Dogwood Elementary School Community! I'm beyond excited to serve this incredible family as a new Assistant Principal!
My journey in education has been a blast, with seven enlightening years in New Caney ISD. From teaching to being a Media Specialist, I've learned so much, and now I'm thrilled to bring that experience to the table here at Dogwood Elementary.
Outside of school, I've got a fantastic husband and five amazing daughters – all students in New Caney ISD! We're all about making memories together, whether we're exploring new locations, cheering on our girls, or rooting for our favorite sports team.
As one of your Assistant Principals, my goal is to make each student feel supported and motivated to shine. Let's work together, dream big, and make this school year unforgettable. My door is always open, and I'm all ears for your ideas and thoughts. I'm absolutely thrilled to start this adventure with you all. Here's to an amazing year ahead!

¡Hola comunidad de la escuela primaria Dogwood! ¡Estoy más que emocionada de servir a esta increíble familia como nueva subdirectora!
Mi trayectoria en la educación ha sido genial, con siete años esclarecedores en New Caney ISD. Desde enseñar hasta ser especialista en medios, he aprendido mucho y ahora estoy encantada de traer esa experiencia a la mesa aquí en Dogwood Elementary.
Fuera de la escuela, tengo un esposo fantástico y cinco hijas increíbles, ¡todas estudiantes en New Caney ISD! Nos dedicamos a crear recuerdos juntos, ya sea que estemos explorando nuevos lugares, animando a nuestras chicas o animando a nuestro equipo deportivo favorito.

I am ecstatic about joining Dogwood Elementary as an Assistant Principal!  This year will be my twenty-fifth year in education as a Substitute Teacher, Teacher, Asst. Principal, Principal, Special Programs Coordinator, Academic Dean, and Instructional Specialist.

I live in Crosby, Texas with my husband and our youngest son. I am a mom of six beautiful children and three grandchildren. I’m here to be a positive influence, mentor, and advocate for our Dogwood students, staff, families and community.

Vivo en Crosby, Texas con mi esposo y nuestro hijo menor. Soy mamá de seis hermosos hijos y tres nietos. Estoy aquí para ser una influencia positiva, mentora y defensora de nuestros estudiantes, personal, familias y comunidad de Dogwood.
